The Truth Commission Digital Collection forms part of the Margarita S. Studemeister Digital Library in International Conflict Management at the United States Institute of Peace. There are profiles of truth commissions and commissions of inquiry set up in different countries with background information, details of members, links to establishing documents and each commission's final reports and findings. Sources of information for each profile are also given.

Parliament of Sri Lanka

The official website of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. The site has a comprehensive “How Parliament Works” section including a brief history of the parliamentary system, as well as an overview of the electoral system. Users can search or browse for acts and bills, which can be downloaded for free in pdf form, and the constitution can be viewed in full. Committee reports dating back to 2004 are also available. The site is available in English, Sinhala or Tamil.

A Research Guide on the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)

Research guide on the regional South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) written by Abdullah Al Arif who is a Lecturer in the Department of Law, Daffodil International University in Bangladesh and Md. Ershadul Karim who is a non-practicing lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court and the Editor of Chancery Law Chronicles. The guide was published in 2015 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Government Press, Sri Lanka

The website of the Sri Lankan government printer makes available acts from 1980 onwards, bills from 2003 onwards and the official gazette from March 2006 onwards. These documents are generally available in Sinhala, Tamil and English, but some are only in one or two of these languages. Tender notices are also available.

Law Commission of Sri Lanka

Official website of the Law Commission of Sri Lanka, a statutory body established in 1969 to keep Sri Lankan law under review by updating, modernising and simplifying legislation. The site gives details of the Commission's work programme and provides its reports from 2006 onwards, as well as making available the Law Commission Act 1969.

LawNet

Collection of full-text Sri Lankan legal materials made freely available online by LawNet, a project established by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Justice and Judicial Reform. The site has full text official statutes from 1956 to 2006 and unofficial statutes to 2006. There are also collections of Provincial Council statutes, a copy of the Sri Lankan Constitution and legislation from the last year. Full text versions of the Sri Lanka Law Reports (SLRs) and the New Law Reports (NLRs) are also provided along with a complete digest for the SLRs and the NLRs arranged by subject.

Decisions of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka

A CommonLII database containing judgments of the Sri Lankan Supreme Court reported in the Sri Lanka Law Reports from 1979-2000. The site has decisions dating from 1878 through to 1005. Decisions can be browsed alphabetically or by date. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility, case name search and help page. Full text decisions are presented in HTML. The data has been made available by LAWNET a project established by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Justice.

A CommonLII database containing Sri Lankan Legislative Enactments (1980 Revised Edition). Legislation can be browsed alphabetically or searched using the system's comprehensive keyword and act name search facility. Full text laws are presented in PDF. The data has been made available by LAWNET a project established by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Justice. The Commonwealth Legal Information Institute (CommonLII) is a collaborative service providing free access to primary legal materials from Commonwealth and common law countries and territories.

There are also cases going back as far as 1809 and recent cases are provided up to 2005. Decisions can be browsed alphabetically or by date. Commonwealth Legal Information Institute

The Commonwealth Legal Information Institute (CommonLII) is a cooperative legal information initiative led by AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute) providing access to freely available legal materials from all Commonwealth countries. CommonLII contains over 400 databases providing case law, legislation, treaties and law reform reports from more than 50 Commonwealth and common law countries and territories.
