The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a professional and regulatory body for property professionals. International Compliance Association

The International Compliance Association (ICA) promotes regulatory and financial compliance and professional conduct in the financial sector around the world. Its website contains information on the roles of the ICA and qualifications approved by and run by it. It also gives basic information about financial crimes and unprofessional conduct within the financial sector. Articles by members of the ICA are available, as well as news items and the ICA code of conduct. There are links to national and international banks and banking regulation organisations worldwide.

Association of Regulatory & Disciplinary Lawyers

The Association of Regulatory & Disciplinary Lawyers was set up in 2002, and primarily exists for networking & sharing advice with other UK lawyers regarding regulatory and disciplinary law. Its website includes names and contact details for the committee, information on membership, and PDFs of back issues of the Association’s quarterly bulletin. Information about events, and news is also included, as well as links to other useful websites and organisations.

Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) is the adjudication body responsible for making decisions on doctors’ fitness to practice in the UK. The MPTS was established in 2012 and is funded by but independent of the General Medical Council (GMC). The site has information for doctors and witnesses attending hearings. Bar Tribunals and Adjudication Service

Website of the Bar Tribunal and Adjudication Service (BTAS) the body responsible for appointing and administering the Disciplinary Tribunals for barristers facing charges of professional misconduct. BTAS also appoints and administers panels who consider admission and disciplinary cases brought by the Inns of Court against student members or applicants. There are decisions of the Disciplinary Tribunals, policy and guidance documents and annual reports provided on the site.

Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland

The Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is the regulatory and professional body for pharmacists in Northern Ireland. Its website includes a searchable register of pharmacists, professional standards and guidance, annual reports, consultation documents and information about hearings. Five years’ worth of outcomes of disciplinary hearings are available, together with details of appeals and forthcoming disciplinary hearings

Nursing and Midwifery Council

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the regulator for nurses and midwives in the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Its website provides a searchable register of nurses and midwives. There is detailed information about fitness to practise hearings, including the outcomes of the most recent four months’ hearings and lists of forthcoming hearings; the Hearings page also has statistics going back to 2000/01. Health and Care Professions Council

The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is the regulator for social workers in England and for UK health and care professionals such as art therapists, clinical scientists, dietitians, occupational therapists, paramedics and physiotherapists. The HCPC website gives the full list of regulated professions and provides a searchable register of regulated individuals.

General Optical Council

The General Optical Council (GOC) is the regulator for the optical professions in the UK, registering optometrists, dispensing opticians, student opticians and optical businesses. Within the ‘General Public’ section, ‘Legislation’ contains a consolidated version with amendments of the Opticians Act 1989, GOC rules and regulations and amendments to Medicines Act legislation, all downloadable in PDF format.

Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) is the regulatory body for veterinary surgeons in the UK. Its statutory responsibilities are detailed in the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, available as a PDF from the website’s ‘About’ section. The ‘Advice & guidance’ section provides access The Code of Professional Conduct in full and the ‘Complaints’ section details the RCVS’ disciplinary and complaints procedures.
