Truth Commission Digital Collection

The Truth Commission Digital Collection forms part of the Margarita S. Studemeister Digital Library in International Conflict Management at the United States Institute of Peace. There are profiles of truth commissions and commissions of inquiry set up in different countries with background information, details of members, links to establishing documents and each commission's final reports and findings. Sources of information for each profile are also given.

Constituciones Hispanoamericas

The Constituciones Hispanoamericas website provides free online access to Spanish constitutions (both current and historical) and those of Latin American countries. The site forms part of the Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes digital library which is hosted by the University of Alicante in Spain. As well as the catalogue of constitutions and related documents there is background and historical information on Spanish and Latin American constitutionalism and a page of related web links. The site is available in Spanish only.

World Law: Peru

Links to legal materials for the Republic of Peru presented on WorldLII's Countries service. Link collections provide access to materials relating to Peru's Courts, Government, Legislation and Parliament and an Introduction to Peruvian Law. Subject sections provide links to sites relating to Banking and Finance, Competition Law and Human Rights. A stored search will automatically search for materials relating to Peru on all of WorldLII. International IDEA

The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) is an intergovernmental organisation promoting the growth of democracy worldwide. It is based in Sweden and has offices in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The website has background information its work and details of databases, networks and publications. Sections of the site cover work in the areas of electoral processes, political parties, constitution building, democracy and gender, state of democracy and democracy and conflict.

Essential issues of the Peruvian legal system

Online guide to the Peruvian legal system written by Sergio Endress Gómez who is a tax lawyer and Professor of Taxation and Trial Taxation at the School of Law of the Universidad de Chile and Milagros Bustillos Pinto who is a partner at Peruvian law firm Hernández & Cía. Abogados. The guide was published in 2006, and updated in 2014, on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

International Center for Transitional Justice

The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is an organisation working with countries where there have been mass atrocities or abuses of human rights. The site outlines the Center's research, training and legal and policy analysis and makes available its reports, briefings and other publications. The organisation has initiatives in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.The site is in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.

Disclosing Justice: a study on access to judicial information in Latin America

Report by the Due Process of Law Foundation (DPLF), looking at the legal frameworks for access to judicial information (including freedom of information laws) in the following Latin American countries: Argentina; Chile; Colombia; the Dominican Republic; Ecuador; Honduras; Mexico; Panama; Peru and Uruguay. For each country there is information on the availability of administrative information (financial, statistical and personnel) and case law. The report also outlines the legal instruments that provide access to information and looks at how the information is provided.

Tribunal Constitucional del Peru

Official website of the Constitutional Court of Peru. The site contains information about the Court and gives profiles of the judges. Judgements of the Court are available in full text and can be searched by keyword and year. There are also copies of the Constitution and associated legislation provided on the site. Links are given to the website of the Court Gazette and to the Centre for Constitutional Studies of the Constitutional Court which is the research and academic arm of the Court. The site can be viewed in Spanish only.
