Research guide on the regional South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) written by Abdullah Al Arif who is a Lecturer in the Department of Law, Daffodil International University in Bangladesh and Md. Ershadul Karim who is a non-practicing lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court and the Editor of Chancery Law Chronicles. The guide was published in 2015 (and updated in 2023) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Jamil and Jamil

The website of Pakistani law firm Jamil and Jamil provides a large collection of Pakistani legislation (under ‘Publications’). Acts, ordinances and some rules and regulations are available; they are arranged by subject under about thirty different headings, including Companies, Commercial, Intellectual Property, Family, Property, Labour and Tort.

Federal Shariat Court

Pakistan’s Federal Shariat Court was established in 1980. Its website provides a database of judgments from about 2004 onwards; there is also a page devoted to leading cases, including full-text judgments, brief details of criminal cases from 1980 onwards and summaries of shariat petitions from 1980 onwards. The site gives an overview of the Court’s jurisdiction and lists the judges. It also provides cause lists, court rules, annual reports, statistics, four digitised books and a few articles. The site is almost wholly in English, but the articles are only in Arabic.

Islamabad High Court

Islamabad High Court was established in 2010, covering the Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan. Its website provides selected judgments, cause lists and rules. Information about the Court’s history and profiles of the judges are also given along with a comprehensive list of links to Pakistan legal resources.

Peshawar High Court

High Court for the province of Peshawar, Pakistan. Its website provides judgments from about 2010 onwards, together with cause lists, information about the Court’s history and lists of judges. There is also a directory of the Peshawar district courts and a list of special courts.

Sindh High Court

Website of the High Court for the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Provides a database of more than 25,000 judgments and orders. Also makes available cause lists, an explanation of the Court’s jurisdiction and lists of judges. The site also has a set of links to Pakistani law websites.
