Electronic copy of the 1994 Constitution of Moldova (amended up to 2016) made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution is provided in PDF and includes chapters on fundamental rights, freedoms and duties, public authorities, the national economy and public finance and the constitution.

Legal Resources Centre from Moldova

Website of the Legal Resources Centre from Moldova (LRCM). The LRCM is a non-profit, non-governmental think tank focused on reform of the justice sector and strengthening the legislative framework and human rights standards in Moldova. There is information on current and past projects of the Centre along with detailed reports dealing with justice, human rights and civil society matters. These reports can be downloaded in Romanian. There is also a quarterly online newsletter that can be viewed in English and Romanian.

Subscription database providing access to legislation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. Legislation can be searched by country, subject, legislation type and date. An introduction and contents page is made freely available for each document with the full text for subscribers only.

Parliament of the Republic of Moldova

Official website of the Moldovan Parliament. The site has information on the work of Parliament, its committees and members. There is background information on the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court and other authorities and institutions. A selection of official documents are provided in full text including the Constitution (in English), the electoral code, the law on political parties, draft laws and state budgets (in Romanian). Most of the information is provided in Romanian with a few pages made available in French and English.

World Law: Moldova

Link collections provide access to materials relating to Moldova's Legislation and Parliament with subject sections covering infrastructure and Privatisation. Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova

Official Website of the Moldavian Constitutional Court which was established in 1995. The Court is an independent body whose purpose is to guarantee the supremacy of the Constitution. The site provides details of the structure of the court and its role and functions. There are HTML versions of the Moldavian Constitution and Constitutional Jurisdiction Code and profiles of the judges currently serving at the Court. Sections of the site (including decisions and details of Court sessions) are still under construction. The site is available in English, Romanian, Russian and French.

Performing legal research: the Moldovan experience

An online research guide to the Moldovan legal system written by Mariana Harjevschi and Svetlana Andritchi from the Public Law Library in Chisinau, Moldova. The guide is published on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The authors give background and historical information to the legal system of Moldova covering the Constitution and the Constitutional Court. The role of the President, legislative, executive and judicial powers are also included.
