Bar Association of Angola

The Bar Association of Angola is the body responsible for regulating and providing access to the legal profession in Angola. The website has the regulations governing the practice of law in Angola along with the Bar Association statutes and codes of practice. There are contact details for members of the national and provincial councils and a directory of lawyers working in Angola. The site can be viewed in Portuguese only.

This page on the Law.com International website provides legal news relating to the conflict in Ukraine. The site is monitoring the impact Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing sanctions have had on the legal industry providing news, expert analysis, features and opinion pieces. Content covers the response of law firms to the crisis, the issues faced by firms who have been working in Russia and the pro bono and humanitarian efforts being undertaken by the industry. Law.com International is a legal news site aimed at international lawyers.

Maori Law Society

Website of the Maori Law Society, an organisation that was formed in 1988 to support the legal needs of the Maori community. Members include legal practitioners, judges, parliamentarians, legal academics, policy analysts, researchers and Māori law students. There is information on the law reform issues the Society is concerned with and law reform submissions, annual reports and other documents are available. News and details of events are also given on the site.

Foolkit: the free legal toolkit

Foolkit is a free guide to Australian legal resources compiled by Australian lawyer Andrew Rogers and aimed at practitioners and the public. For lawyers the site has sections providing links to key resources for each Australian state including legislation, court rules and cause lists, management resources and resources arranged by legal topic eg. family, business, criminal and employment law. Pages aimed at the public provide information on issues such as finding a lawyer, accessing legal aid and a guide to the legal system.

Law Brief Publishing

Website of Law Brief Publishing a legal publishing company founded in 2006. The site gives details of Law Brief publications which include practical guides for lawyers. Free samples and chapters from some of the books are provided on the site. The company publish PI Brief Update Law Journal, a monthly online subscription publication offering case law, news items and articles on personal injury law. There is also a free newsletter giving updates on recent cases in all the major areas of law. You are required to register on the site to receive this publication.

European Civil Law

The European Civil Law website is compiled by Hendrik Goossens a Dutch solicitor practising in Asten in the Netherlands. The site is aimed at foreign practitioners providing information and guidance on the rules of private international law of the European Union. There is background information on the form the European Union takes, its members and institutions. Guidance and links to the full text of European rules on private international law and on the jurisdiction EU member state courts have regarding civil and commercial and family law matters.

Ukrainian Law Firms

Online version of the publication Ukrainian Law Firms: A Handbook for Foreign Clients. The website provides information about Ukrainian law and lawyers. There is an overview of the law in a range of practice areas including banking, commercial, criminal, family, human right, property and tax law. Profiles of leading law firms and practitioners in Ukraine are also available. Earlier versions of the Handbook can be viewed back to 2009.

British-Ukrainian Law Association

Webpages of the British-Ukrainian Law Association (BULA), which aims to foster professional relationships between lawyers in the United Kingdom and Ukraine and assist with the development of the legal profession in Ukraine through training, placements and exchange programmes.
