Constitution of Denmark

This site contains the text of the Denmark Constitution in English, provided by the International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1953 and covers the role of the monarchy, Parliament, the High Court, the state church, individual rights and local government. A copy of the Succession to the Throne Act 1953 and links to the Danish Parliament and the Ministry of Justice are also available, along with background notes about the history of the Constitution.

Nordic Research Council for Criminology

The Nordic Research Council for Criminology was founded in 1962 by the Ministries of Justice in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. It advises Nordic governments about issues relating to criminology, awards research grants and holds conferences and seminars. Researching Danish law

Guide to researching Danish law, by Rasmus H. Wandall of the University of Bergen, senior advisor to the Director of Public Prosecutions in Denmark, and Ditlev Veit, head law librarian at the Director of Public Prosecutions' office. Last updated in 2020, the guide is on New York University's Globalex website. It gives background information on the geography and legal history of Denmark and outlines the political system, covering the legislative, executive and judicial powers, with links to key websites.

N-Lex

N-Lex provides a single search interface that can be used to search any of the national legislation websites of the EU member states. The search page is available in all 24 EU official languages. When searching by key words, either machine translation or the multilingual Eurovoc thesaurus can be used to translate them. For each state there is also general information about the types of legislation produced and the website to which the N-Lex search interface applies.
