Inatsisartut

The Inatsisartut is the Parliament of Greenland, which was established following the home rule referendum in 1979 and had its powers extended under the Self-Government Act of 2009. Its website has information on the work and membership of the various committees, along with profiles of the President and members of the Inatsisartut. Greenlandic, Danish and English versions of the site are available. 

Danish Patent and Trademark Office

The Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) is the official representative of Denmark acting on behalf of the Danish Government regarding all aspects of IP legislation and policy. The DKPTO's Policy and Legal Affairs Department is responsible for developing Denmark's IP legislation and policy in relation to patents, utility models, trademarks and designs. Thus the site provides links to treaties, EU Council regulations and agreements and other materials concerning patents, utility models, trade marks and designs.

The guide has been written by Suzanne Thorpe, Associate Director for Faculty, Research and Instructional services at the University of Minnesota Law Library. This is the official website of the Prime Minister of Denmark. It provides information about the roles and responsibilities of the Prime Minister and details about the current incumbent. The Folketinget is the parliament of Denmark. Its website is available in both English and Danish. The English version offers information on the history and duties of the Danish parliament. It includes information about electoral administration and the electoral laws. The Danish version provides more detailed information about parliamentary business. It offers the full text of all official documents produced during the current session, including parliamentary debates, parliamentary bills and committee documents.

Nordiska Rådet / Nordiska Ministerrådet

Website of the Nordic Council and Nordic Council of Ministers. The site provides information about official cooperation between the governments and parliaments of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. It also has facts and figures about the Nordic region, news. The Resources section includes teaching materials for schools, maps, photographs and links to dictionaries of the Nordic languages. The site is available in English and the Scandinavian languages.

Scandinavian Studies in Law

Free online version of 'Scandinavian Studies in Law', a series of books published by the Stockholm Institute for Scandinavian Law at Stockholm University. The series covers the law of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and presents articles by Scandinavian lawyers and legal scholars translated into English. Each volume focuses on a particular legal topic. All but the last few volumes can be accessed for free using the 'Sc.St.L. Database'. The  Scandinavian Studies in Law website also includes a list of abbreviations used in the series, and a help page.
