Parliament of Zimbabwe

Official website of the Parliament of Zimbabwe. The site describes the functions, structure and current activities of the parliament and its committees. The Constitution of Zimbabwe is available on the site, together with Hansard (parliamentary debates) from 2004 onwards and lists of current Members of Parliament.

Law & Justice Zimbabwe

Website providing access to the law and legal information of Zimbabwe, provided Aripano Infinity, a web developer based in Harare in Zimbabwe. The site offers full-text Zimbabwean legislation covering a range of subject areas including local government, administration of justice, civil law and procedure, citizenship and immigration, environment, agriculture, commerce and industry, telecommunications and health. Judgments of the Supreme Court and High Court are available in full for the years 2003 to 2007.

Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association

Website of the Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association (ZELA) a non-governmental organisation promoting environmental justice in Zimbabwe. The site gives information on the programmes of work ZELA is engaged on. These include environmental law reform and education, urban environment, transboundary natural resources management, land and communities and environmental legal compliance.

Southern Africa Litigation Centre

The Southern Africa Litigation Centre began as  a joint initiative between the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA). It works to foster human rights, democracy, the rule of law and access to justice in the region by means of advocacy, litigation, training and capacity building. The Centre's website has information about its cases, together with reports, briefings, statements, articles and news. The content can be browsed by topic or by country. 

Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights

Website of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) a not for profit human rights organisation whose central aim is to promote human rights in Zimbabwe. The site gives details ZLHR's litigation and advocacy work and provides news of its recent human rights cases. The Resources section includes policy papers, reports, studies factsheets and other ZLHR material.

Law in Zimbabwe

Guide to the law of Zimbabwe by Jimcall Pfumorodze and and Emma Chitsove, academics from the University of Botswana. Published on New York University's Globalex website and periodically updated, it gives historical and background information to the law in Zimbabwe and details of the sources of Zimbabwean law, including legislation, case law, customary law and common law.

Legal Resources Foundation

The Legal Resources Foundation (LRF) is a charitable trust concerned with the promotion of human rights and access to justice in Zimbabwe. Its website gives an overview of the foundation's activities in the areas of legal education, legal services and development of the justice system, together with details of its research and advocacy. The Resources section includes research reports, a platform to help people apply for legal aid, and pamphlets on areas of law of interest to the general public; it also has a small selection of case summaries. 

African Law Reporter

African Law Reporter (also known as JurisAfrica) was founded by Mr. Justice Francis M. Ssekandi, a former Justice of Appeal in Uganda. It currently provides a small selection of African legal materials, including judgments, constitutions, statutes, articles and news items. Links are provided to websites with related content.
