Link collections include materials relating to the Courts, Government, Legislation, and Parliament with specific subject sections dealing with Elections, Intellectual Property, Privatisation and Secured Transactions. A stored search will automatically query all of World Law for items about Romania. A limited area search engine offers high focus searches of selected remote sites. Site help and on screen translation facilities are also available. The World Law service is run by WorldLII from the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

Constitution of Romania

An online version of the 1991 Romanian Constitution (amended to 2003) made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution includes sections on fundamental rights and freedoms, the role of the President, the passing of legislation and the organisation and functions of Parliament, the Government, judicial authority, the Constitutional Court, local government, armed forces and the police. The Constitution can be viewed in HTML.

Constitutional Court of Romania

Official website of the Constitutional Court of Romania. The site has background information on the establishment of the Romanian Constitution and Constitutional Court. Details are provided covering the Court's function and composition (including profiles of its members), information on the work of the court and a statistical breakdown of its rulings and decisions. Selected decisions of the Court are available in full text PDF on a yearly basis from 1992 onwards to date. The site also has a copy of the Romanian Constitution and online versions of related legislation.

Romanian Legislative Council

Official website of the Romanian Legislative Council which was set up in its present form in 1993. The role of the Council is to advise the Government on bills, draft statutory orders, draft codes and other legislative proposals, to ensure legislation conforms to the provisions and principles of the Constitution and to keep an official record of the legislation. The website includes online (PDF) copies of the laws and regulations which set up and established the structure of the Council and provides information on its history and powers. The site can only be viewed in Romanian.

Oficiul de Stat pentru Inventii si Marci

Website provided by the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks in Bucharest, a specialised government body with responsibility for the protection of industrial propety in Romania. It contains information on patents, trademarks, industrial design, topographies of integrated circuits and plants varieties. There is a searchable Romanian Patent Database and links to services and publications offered by the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks. Details of regional centres and a list of IP attorneys are available. The site is available in Romanian only.

LESIJ.JS

LESIJ.JS is an open-access online journal provided by Nicolae Titulescu University in Romania. It covers covers all areas of law, but focuses particularly on topics that cross traditional branches of the law and the relationship of law to other disciplines. Topics covered include criminal justice, socio-legal studies, criminology, European private law, internet law and intellectual property law. As well as the current issue, back issues are available back to 2006.

Acta Universitatis Danubius -Juridica

Website of the Acta Universitatis Danubius Juridica law review published annually by the Law Faculty of the Danubius University in Romania. The review focuses on legal doctrine, jurisprudence and philosophy and law. Recent articles have dealt with the parliamentary mandate, smuggling and the status of the prosecutor in Romania. Reviews are available online from 2005 onwards and details are given for the Editorial Board and the Scientific Board. The site can be viewed in English, Romanian and French. Articles are presented in full text in either French or English.
