Official Website of the Israeli Ministry of Justice, the government department whose areas of responsibility include provision of legal advice and legislation, the Office of the State Attorney, Companies Registrar, Land Registry and money laundering prohibition. The website provides information on the department's work including the development of mediation and conflict resolution, the prevention of money laundering, patent protection and registration of claims of Jews from Arab countries. The site is in Hebrew, with an English interface.

Selected Laws of the State of Israel

The website of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes a page of selected laws of Israel which can be viewed online in HTML. Available laws include the 1948 Declaration of Independence, the Law of Return, the Protection of Holy Places Law, Denial of Holocaust (Prohibition) Law and the Golan Heights Law. Most legislation is available in full, but some laws are available as summaries only.

State of Israel Judicial Authority

Official website of the Supreme Court of Israel, available in Hebrew and English. The site describes the role and function of the courts and the judiciary. A selection Supreme Court judgements is available on the site in PDF format. There is historical background information and guidance on the court system, covering the Supreme Court, District Courts, Magistrates' Courts and Juvenile Courts, along with the various tribunals. There is also information about individual judges.

Prime Minister's Office Israel

English version of the Israeli Prime Minister's official website. Provides information about the current Prime Minister, press releases, speeches and news from the government, including coverage of the Middle East, the Arab-Israeli conflict and the situation in Jerusalem, Palestine, the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Links are provided to other websites maintained by the government of Israel.

Basic Laws of Israel

The Basic Laws of Israel, made freely available on the website of the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament). The site includes an introduction to the Basic Laws, a summary of each law, a link to the full text and to details of the Knesset that passed each law. There are Basic Laws covering the following areas: the Knesset; Israel Lands; President of the State; the Government; the State Economy; the Army; Jerusalem, Capital of Israel; the Judiciary; the State Comptroller; Human Dignity and Liberty; the government and Freedom of Occupation.

Online Judaic Responsa Project

Responsa is a database of Torah literature, available by subscription from Bar Ilan University in Israel. It includes the Bible, the Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi, with commentaries; there are works about Jewish law and custom, legal codes and over 80,000 Halachic law decisions. The database is in Hebrew, but the website has English and French interfaces.

Guide to legal research in Israel

Online guide to legal research in Israel, available on New York University's Globalex website. The guide is by Dr. Michal Tamir, of the Academic Center of Law and Science in Israel. Last updated in 2019, it gives background and historical information to Israel and provides a description of the legal system, political system and court structure. There is an outline of the different types of court, information on sources of law and a list of government ministries.
