Nursing and Midwifery Council

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the regulator for nurses and midwives in the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Its website provides a searchable register of nurses and midwives. There is detailed information about fitness to practise hearings, including the outcomes of the most recent four months’ hearings and lists of forthcoming hearings; the Hearings page also has statistics going back to 2000/01. Law Society of Jersey

The Law Society of Jersey is the governing body for both solicitors and advocates in Jersey. Its website includes a description of the Jersey legal system entitled “The role of the Jersey courts and legal profession”. It also has a guide to making wills in Jersey, the text of the Society’s Code of Conduct, relevant legislation and directories of members.

The Ombudsman Association is a membership organisation for ombudsmen from the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Britain's overseas territories. Official website of the States Assembly of Jersey in the Channel Islands.The site has background information to the history and development of government in Jersey and looks at the composition and functions of the States Assembly. There are profiles of the members and officers of the Assembly including Senators, Conn?tables and Deputies and details of procedures and standing orders are also provided. Information on the work and membership of the various committees responsible for the government of Jersey are also made available on the site.
