SEJM of the Republic of Poland

Official website of the SEJM which is the lower house of the Polish parliament. The site has full text legislation (including the Constitution) and other official publications including bills. There’s information on the history of the SEJM and profiles of the Marshal and Deputy Marshals. The Sejm Chronicle magazine covers the work of the Sejm and its committees. The site can be viewed in Polish only.

National Chamber of Legal Advisors

The National Chamber of Legal Advisors (Krajowa Rada Radców Prawnych) represents attorneys in Poland, oversees their training and education, and has responsibility for professional ethics and discipline. Its website has information about these activities, and also provides legal news. The Chamber provides legal opinions on Polish legislation through its Center for Research, Studies and Legislation: see 'Legislacia' on the website. Most of the site is in Polish only, but the International Affairs page is available in English.

Polish Judges Association

The Polish Judges Association (Stowarzyszenie Sędziów Polskich "Iustitia") is an independent self-governing association of Polish judges which aims to uphold the independence of the courts and the judiciary. The Association also promotes civil liberties and equal rights and represents the professional and social interests of the judiciary. The site has information and news items concerning judges in Poland, together with reports, statements and other documents issued by the Association. 

Cybercrime Research Centre

Website of the Cybercrime Research Centre, a unit established by Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland to conduct research into cybercrime and related issues. The site has details of conferences organised by the Centre, links to relevant European legislation and a selection of articles on computer crime which are freely available to download from the site. The site can be viewed in Polish and English.

Ministry of Justice of Poland

Official website of the Polish Ministry of Justice. The site is offered in Polish with an English interface. Information provided in English includes an organisational structure of the department which has responsibility for the courts, prisons, criminal law, civil law, international cooperation and human rights. There are profiles of the officials including the Minister along with information on the Polish judiciary and the ADR Civic Council.

National Council of the Judiciary of Poland

Website of the National Council of the Judiciary of Poland (Krajowa Rada Sadownictwa) the official body established in 1989 to protect the independence of the Polish courts and judiciary. The site gives details of the members of the National Council, its history and role in the Polish legal system. A page of links is given to other legal institutions in Poland. The site can be viewed in Polish and English.

Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe: Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights

The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights is part of the intergovernmental Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). It observes elections, monitors democracy and seeks to foster human rights, tolerance and the rule of law. The Office’s website describes its work, provides press releases and makes available its recommendations, reports, and other publications. On the Resources page there is a Documents Library, an email news service and a multimedia library.

Website of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal, available in Polish and English versions. The site of the provides judgments and cases lists, together with the text of the Polish Constitution and the Constitutional Tribunal Act. In addition, it provides information about the history of the Constitutional Tribunal, its organisation, its role, and its position in the system of government.
