Law Reform Commission of Ireland

The mandate of the Irish Law Reform Commission is to formulate recommendations for law reform and ensure the law is kept under review. It also produces restatements of the law of Ireland and is responsible for the Legislation Directory (formerly the Chronological Table of the Statutes), which lists amendments to Irish legislation. The Commission's website provides full details of its workand makes available all its law reform consultation papers and reports, free of charge, in the Publications Library.

Freely accessible glossary of legal terminology made available on the home pages of Dublin-based barrister Kieron Wood. The glossary is displayed in HTML and arranged alphabetically. The first page includes a shortcut to each letter of the alphabet. Irish Penal Reform Trust

Website for the Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT), an independent organisation campaigning for dignity, justice and humane approaches in the development and implementation of penal systems, particularly in Ireland. The site outlines the Trust's aims and mission supported by the publication onsite of Trust Policy statements on matters such as the introduction of private prisons in Ireland and sentencing in the District Court. Policy responses and submissions and relevant press stories are also provided.

A website promoting the Dublin-based law firm A & L Goodbody, outlining the services and areas of specialisation offered by the firm and its staff. Irish Statute Book

Online collection of Irish statutes passed by the Oireachtas (the Irish Parliament) covering the years 1922 to 2010. The service is freely provided by the website of the Irish Attorney General. The information is organised in three sections- Acts of the Oireachtas 1922-2010, Statutory Instruments 1922-2010 and a chronological listing of statutes from 1922-2005. The first two sections are arranged by date.
