Community Legal Information Centre

The Community Legal Information Centre (CLIC) was established by the China Information Technology and Law Centre of the University of Hong Kong. CLIC is an internet guide providing information and guidance to Hong Kong law. Subject sections provide basic information on various aspects of Hong Kong law including bankruptcy, employment, landlord and tenant, matrimonial matters and legal aid. There is also a section on the Hong Kong legal system which looks at sources of law, the courts structure, criminal and civil law and the legal profession.

Hong Kong Maritime Law Association

Website of the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association (HKMLA) an organisation that draws its membership from maritime lawyers, ship owners and others with an interest in maritime law. The site gives contact details for members of the Executive Committee and a list of corporate and individual members of the HKMLA. There are details of events and copies of the Chairman's reports provide information on the activities of the HKMLA. Full text legislation (ordinances) relating to maritime issues are available on the site.

Hong Kong Gazette

Free online version of the official gazette of Hong Kong, in English and Chinese. The Hong Kong Gazette publishes ordinances, regulations, bills, tenders and official notices. Both the main Gazette and its supplements are provided on the website. Issues may be browsed by date, or searched by key word. The Gazette is produced by the Printing Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China.

Hong Kong Bar Association

The Hong Kong Bar Association is the professional organisation for barristers in Hong Kong. Its website provides information about the work of a barrister and has a directory of Hong Kong barristers and barristers' chambers. There are also lists of mediators and arbitrators. Information about the Association includes its rules and regulations, Code of Conduct and annual reports. There is a selection of speeches, articles and press releases along with information about pupillage.

Hong Kong Law Reform Commission Publications

A HKLII database containing reports and consultation papers from the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission in full-text in a range of formats. The service offers options to browse documents separately in reverse date order, supported by full publication and title search facilities. Data is provided by the Law Reform Commission of Hong Kong and is also freely available on the internet in the reports and papers section of the Commission's official website.

Family Court of Hong Kong Judgments

A HKLII database containing selected judgments of the Family Court of Hong Kong from 1973 onwards. Materials are in HTML format. Judgment title and text search options are provided with browsing lists by case name and year. The Hong Kong Legal Information Institute (HKLII) is a joint project to provide free access to the primary legal materials of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The project partners are the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law and AUSTLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

District Court of Hong Kong Judgments

A web database, forming part of the HKLII service, containing judgments of the District Court of Hong Kong from 1968 to 2004. Materials are in HTML format. Judgment title and text search options are provided with browsing lists by case name and year. The Hong Kong Legal Information Institute (HKLII) is a joint project to provide free access to the primary legal materials of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. A web database, forming part of HKLII, the Hong Kong Legal Information Institute service, containing full-text consolidated Regulations of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People's Republic of China. Regulations can be browsed alphabetically by name or by chapter number or searched using a comprehensive search engine. Historical Laws of Hong Kong

Historical laws of Hong Kong, scanned from the original print sources, provided by University of Hong Kong Libraries. The contents are derived from the revised consolidations of Hong Kong laws from 1901, 1912, 1923, 1937, 1950 and 1964 (last updated to 1989). The laws are searchable  by chapter or ordinance number, title and edition; individual editions may be browsed by ordinance title. 

Court of Appeal of Hong Kong Judgments

A Hong Kong Legal Information Institute (HKLII) database containing judgements of the Court of Appeal of Hong Kong from 1993 onwards. Decisions are listed alphabetically by party name and chronologically by year, and the site offers a sophisticated search engine. The database includes materials provided by the Judiciary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. HKLII is a joint project of the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law and AUSTLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute, aiming to provide free access to the primary legal materials of Hong Kong SAR.
