United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is involved in combating illicit drugs and international crime. The website describes its work, which encompasses areas such as the reform of criminal justice systems and prisons as well as fighting marine piracy, corruption, human trafficking, terrorism and money laundering. A database of national legislation on drug control, the Legal Library, can be found on the site, together with a collection of model laws and a page of treaties related to drugs, crime and terrorism.

Public Justice

Website of the Washington DC based Public Justice (formerly Trial Lawyers for Public Justice) a non-profit law firm founded in 1982 and supported by the TLPJ Foundation. The Public Justice site states that it "fights for justice through precedent-setting and socially significant individual and class action litigation". The firm has a membership of over 2,700 U.S lawyers which include specialists in consumer and civil rights, personal injury, employment and environmental protection.

Canada Watch : practical and authoritative analysis of key national and international issues

Canada Watch is serial produced by the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies and the Osgoode Hall Centre for Public Law and Public Policy. Designed for both academic and non-academic audiences, it covers Canadian studies, public law and public policy issues and some international matters. It is available online from 1999 (vol. 7, issue 3) onwards.

Public Law Project

The Public Law Project (PLP) is a UK-based legal charity whose aim is to improve access to justice in public law matters. The site provides information about the PLP and its work, including research, casework and training. Background information is given about public law is and there are leaflets on topics such as judicial review and making a complaint to the Ombudsman. Research reports, articles and press releases can be downloaded from the site.

Public Interest Law Initiative

The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) is an American NGO concerned with promoting access to justice in Illinois. It runs a pro bono initiative, student internship programmes and graduate fellowship programmes to encourage participation in the field of pro bono legal advice. Its website has information about its activities and events and provides links and guidance for the public, pro bono volunteers, law firms, corporations and others.
