Government of Nunavut

Official site of the Government of Nunavut. Nunavut was established by the Canadian Parliament Nunavut Act 1993 in recognition of the rights and land claims of the Inuit, the territory's indigenous people. Nunavut officially joined the federation of Canada in 1999. The website provides general information about the history, people, culture and government of Nunavut, with links to the Legislative Assembly and other government departments. The information is also available in French, Inuktitut and Inuinnaqtun.

Official website of the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut province in Canada. The site contains bills, debates and proceedings of the Legislative Assembly (Hansard), reports of standing committees (in PDF format), and a link to the Nunavut Legislative Library catalogue. The site is published in English and Inuktitut language versions. Some items are also provided in French and Innuinaqtun

Official website for the Nunavut Court of Justice. The site provides information about the Court, the judges, and links to decisions on CanLII, and Nunavut legislation. The site also provides court schedules, court directives, Rules of the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories (Nunavut), Criminal Rules of the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories (Nunavut), Northwest Territories Divorce Rules (Nunavut), Summary Conviction Appeal Rules, and Rules of the Court of Appeal Respecting Civil Appeals (Nunavut). The site is presented in English and Inuktitut language versions.

A CanLII database providing decisions released by the Nunavut Court of Justice since June 1999. Simple and advanced query options are provided to search the collection, supplemented by browsing lists of decisions sorted alphabetically by style of cause and sorted by date of judgment listed by year. CanLII, the Canadian Legal Information Institute, is a key service providing free access to Canadian primary legal materials. The service has been designed by LexUM at the University of Montreal (using software developed by AustLII) on the initiative of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.
