Website of the Transitional Justice Institute, a research centre based at the University of Ulster. Transitional justice is defined on the site as being the "interim legal arrangements which come to the fore as states enter into transition from violent conflict to peace and democracy". Profiles are given of staff at the Institute along with details of their publications and links to full-text articles where available. Details are given of forthcoming events and research projects taking place at the Institute. A Peace Agreements Database is made freely available to browse or search.

Land and Property Services

Website of the Land and Property Services (formerly Land Registers of Northern Ireland) a government agency whose purpose is to "record accurate details of legal interest in land in Northern Ireland". The service is made up of three registries- the Statutory Charges Registry, the Land Registry and the Registry of Deeds. The site explains the land registration systems in Northern Ireland and how to carry out searches. There is a glossary of terms and a selection of FAQs.

Irish law discussion list

The Irish law discussion list is an email discussion list concerned with all areas of law relating to Ireland and Northern Ireland. The list is administered by Darius Whelan and hosted by the Faculty of Law at University College Cork on the Irish Law website. List archives go back to 1994 and can be browsed by date or searched by keyword, subject or author. There is guidance on using the list covering subscription, sending messages and technical and privacy issues. Other email lists concerned with Irish law are also mentioned on the site.

A BAILII database containing decisions of the Northern Ireland High Court of Justice, Family Division. The database contains all decisions from 2000 onwards to date. Cases are listed alphabetically by party name and chronologically by year. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility and Recent Cases listing. Criminal Justice System Northern Ireland

This site provides information on the criminal justice system of Northern Ireland and the agencies that form part of the justice service including the Northern Ireland Prison Service, Police Service of Northern Ireland, Public Prosecution Service, Youth Justice Agency and the Probation Board for Northern Ireland. The role of each of these bodies is explained on the site and contact details and links to the organisations' own websites are given. Key documents relating to the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland are made available in HTML or PDF.

Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice

Web pages of the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice, based in the School of Law at Queen's University Belfast. The Institute was founded in 1994 and its aim is to carry out research and postgraduate teaching in the fields of criminology and criminal justice. The website provides details of current research projects, conferences and seminars, as well as the Institute's publications.

Law Centres Federation

Website of the Law Centres Federation (LCF) the co-ordinating body for law centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The site includes background information about the LCF and the history and development of law centres and access to justice. Guidance is given to the work of the law centres along with contact details to all law centres arranged by region. Policy and research documents, leaflets and copies of the LCF newsletter are also provided. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

Civil Law Reform Division

Website of the Civil Law Reform Division (CLRD) of the Department of Finance and Personnel in Northern Ireland. This department is responsible for civil law reform in the areas of private family law, trusts and property law, tort, contract law and private international law. The site provides details of current projects, online versions of consultation papers and reports downloadable in PDF, links to related documents such as legislation and a page of related web links.

Northern Ireland Legislation Factsheet

Factsheet produced by the House of Commons Information Office (UK) and published on the Parliament website. The Northern Ireland Legislation Factsheet, last updated in 2010, provides a brief history and clarification of legislative procedure in Northern Ireland, with a particular emphasis on legislative powers remaining with the UK Parliament.
