Buraku Liberation and Human Rights Research Institute
The Buraku Liberation and Human Rights Research Institute (BLHRRI) is a research and training organisation concerned with discrimination against the Buraku people in Japan. Buraku people are a minority group whose ancestors were considered outcasts because of their occupations. The site provides background and historical information, details of BLHRRI's publications and issues of Buraku Liberation News from 1997 onwards; this newsletter can be viewed in English and gives details of events, activities and research along with campaign updates. The site is in English and Japanese.

Collection of Japanese employment acts, in English and Japanese, provided by the Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training. The acts cover topics including contracts, standards, equality, insurance, part-time working, industrial relations and health and safety.
Asian Legal Information Institute
The Asian Legal Information Institute (AsianLII) website provides free access to legal materials from all 28 countries and territories in Asia, as well as the regional organisations, APEC, ASEAN and SAARC. It includes legislation, case law, law reform reports, treaties, a few law journals and other legal material, along with links to other law sites. The content can be searched or browsed; searches can be limited to one country, or extended to all countries.

Website provided by the Japanese Ministry of Justice, offering unofficial English translations of Japanese legislation. Translated laws can be searched by title, keyword or number or browsed by subject or government department. The texts can be viewed with the Japanese and English versions side by side. The site also has a Japanese-English dictionary and links to Japanese government agencies and other law sites.
