International Maritime Organization (IMO)

The International Maritime Organization was established in 1959 with the purpose of providing a forum for intergovernmental cooperation regarding shipping engaged in international trade. Its current areas of activity include: maritime safety, marine pollution, international trade, navigation techniques and technical matters effecting shipping. Its website offers a description of the history and purpose of the IMO and a list of its members. It also includes summaries of all the conventions and treaties adopted since its origin. Information on publications can also be accessed.

SICE Foreign Trade Information System

The Foreign Trade Information System (Sistema de Informacion al Comercio Exterior, or SICE) is produced by the Organization of American States (OAS) as a central source of information about trade policy in the region. The SICE website provides full-text trade agreements, national legislation on trade-related matters, a glossary of trade terms and other information. The site is in English and Spanish.

Union Du Maghreb Arabe

This is the official website of the Arab Maghreb Union, the international organisation which seeks closer social, political and economic cooperation between the Maghreb Arab nations. Members include: Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Mauritania and Algeria. It provides information on the aims of the organisation, facts about its member nations and details of recent activities, conferences and summits. It also includes access to the full-text of recent economic trade agreements and treaties signed by the group. The site is offered in French or Arabic.
