The Swiss Arbitration website is produced by the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) and brings together key resources relating to arbitration in Switzerland. There is information about the ASA - a membership organisation and arbitration think tank - and the Swiss Arbitration Centre which provides arbitration and mediation services worldwide.

Baker McKenzie: Global Arbitration Rules

International arbitration blog compiled by law firm Baker McKenzie and made freely available online. The blog has global arbitration news stories that can be browsed by region or topic. Other features include a calendar of upcoming arbitration events and a comparative chart of international arbitration rules. This enables cross checking of individual clauses across a range of arbitration rules. Copies of the Baker McKenzie International Arbitration Yearbook can be viewed on the blog providing legislative and case law updates from each jurisdiction.

International Arbitration Between Foreign Investors and Host States (Investor-State Arbitration)

Brief guide to international arbitrations between foreign investors and host states compiled by Hernando Otero who is an international investment, arbitration and mediation attorney. The guide was updated in 2022 on the Globalex website, hosted by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

International Commercial Arbitration

Online guide to international commercial arbitration written and updated by Charles Bjork who is International and Foreign Law Reference Librarian at the Georgetown University Law Library. An earlier version of the guide was written in 2014 by Susan Gualtier. This version was published in 2022 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

International Investment Arbitration and Public Policy

Website and research tool offering open access to research and data on international investment arbitration. The service includes: a database of known arbitration cases decided under investment treaties; access to investment arbitration cases by policy area (such as agriculture, environmental protection, taxation); a compilation of the appointment records of individual arbitrators who have sat in investment arbitration cases; and other information and commentary on the system of international investment arbitration.

Investment Treaty Arbitration

The Investment Treaty Arbitration website is aimed at legal practitioners, academics, government officials, researchers and anyone interested in international investment law. The resource is compiled by Andrew Newcombe who is Associate Professor, Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria in Canada. Details of investment treaty awards back to 1996 can be searched or browsed by date, claimant or respondent state. There are links to investment treaties and other investment instruments. Links to resources providing details of other investment awards and cases are also given.

Genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity- a digest of the case law of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda

Online (PDF) version of a report published by Human Rights Watch which provides a digest of judgements of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. The digest is organised by subject including genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, individual responsibility, command responsibility and fair trial requirements and includes judgements available up to the end of 2008.

World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center

Internet site for the World Intellectual Property Organization's Arbitration and Mediation Center. The Center was established in Geneva, Switzerland in 1994 to offer dispute resolution advisory services, particularly in international commercial disputes between private parties. The site publishes information about the Center, its work in arbitration and mediation and its staff. There are sections offering information on arbitration, mediation, expert determination and domain name dispute resolution. The sections include general information, decisions, fees and rules.

American Arbitration Association

Founded in 1926 as a not-for-profit, public service organization, the American Arbitration Association is dedicated to the resolution of disputes through the use of mediation, arbitration, negotiation, elections and other voluntary dispute resolution methodologies. This site gives information about the Association, its activities, members and information about ADR. There are forms to download and an online library of guides, FAQs and reports on ADR and its use in different sectors including construction, insurance, employment and state based dispute resolution.

Society of Maritime Arbitrators

Website of the Society of Maritime Arbitrators (SMA) an organisation based in the United States whose aim is to promote alternate dispute resolution (ADR) in the maritime industry. The site provides access to SMA rules, profiles of members and its code of ethics. There is a copy of the United States Federal Arbitration Act and a guide to maritime arbitration in New York. The SMA's newsletter is made available in full-text online in HTML or PDF format. This contains legal news and summaries of recent decisions and awards.
