Indigenous Law Portal

Large open-access collection of links to documents and websites concerning indigenous law, provided by LLMC Digital. Originally developed by the Law Library of Congress, the portal has sections covering the United States, Canada, Mexico and the circumpolar Arctic, and there are plans to extend its coverage to South America. Includes general websites, such as the Tribal Court Clearing House in the US and the Assembly of First Nations in Canada, as well as websites of individual tribes and NGOs and sites dealing with particular subjects (land tenure, environmental law and so on).

Thematic network on Arctic law

The thematic network on Arctic law is one of the specialist networks of the University of the Arctic (UArctic). UArtic’s members are institutions and organisations with an interest in higher education and research in the Circumpolar North. Its thematic networks aim to foster issues-based cooperation on topical Arctic issues. The network on Arctic law pages contain information on their current, planned and past activities. Tonga Consolidated Legislation

A PacLII database containing consolidated legislation of Tonga from the 1988 revised edition. The acts can be browsed by title or year, and there is a search facility. PacLII, the Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute, offers free access to legislation and cases for jurisdictions in the South Pacific. It is a joint initiative involving the University of the South Pacific and the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

Vanuatu Legislation

Collection of legislation from Vanuatu, provided by PacLII. The content, which derives from the 2006 edition of Laws of the Republic of Vanuatu, can be browsed by title, and there are links to indexes of primary and secondary legislation. PacLII, the Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute, provides free access to legislation and cases for jurisdictions in the South Pacific; it is a joint initiative of the University of the South Pacific and the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

Arctic Council

The Arctic Council is an intergovernmental forum - with indigenous representation - that fosters cooperation between the eight Arctic States: Canada, Finland, Iceland, Norway, the Russian Federation, Sweden, Canada, the United States and Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands). The website provides details of its institutions and projects and makes available publications, including international agreements, meeting documents, reports, strategy documents and the Council's founding instruments.

Antarctic Treaty Database

Website of the Antarctic Treaty Database made freely available online by the Antarctic Treaty Secretariat in Buenos Aires. This searchable database provides access to the text of measures adopted by the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM) including all recommendations, measures, decisions and resolutions from 1961 onwards. Users can search or browse documents by meeting, category and topic. Categories include environmental protection, marine pollution, monuments, scientific cooperation and tourism. These categories can be broken down into more detailed topic headings.
