Website of the University of Minnesota Human Rights Library, developed by the University of Minnesota Human Rights Center in the USA. The site offers the full-text of a comprehensive collection of documents on the protection and promotion of human rights from sources around the world. In addition, there are links to over 4000 other human rights sites around the world. The documents and materials include human rights treaties and other international instruments, other UN documents, material on the regional protection of human rights (the European, Inter-American and African systems), documents for and about human rights education (curriculum and advocacy), materials on asylum and refugees, and bibliographies and research guides. A keyword search facility is available to search on all the documents available on the site. A mirror-site is available for South Africa for African users. Most documents are in HTML format, but some are in plain text or in PDF format. The site interface is available in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Swedish, Chinese and Japanese.
