Website of the International Service for Human Rights an independent, non-profit human rights organisation based in Geneva (Switzerland) and New York (United States), with a permanent presence in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire). The ISHR provides training, information and advocacy support for human rights defenders and is also concerned with promoting human rights and accountability and strengthening human rights laws. A Model Law to recognise and protect human rights defenders has been produced and is available to download in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Nepali, Russian, Mongolian and Portuguese from the site.
