Forum-Asia (Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development) is a membership network of human rights organisations in Asia. The aim of Forum-Asia is to promote and protect human rights, civic space, and democracy in the region and the organisation has a consultative role with the UN Economic and Social Council and the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights. Their work is focused on the rights of women, LGBTIQ+ groups, business and human rights and the impact of business on environment and climate change. Briefing papers, statements and full text research reports are available on the site. Recent reports have covered national human rights institutions in Asia, fundamental freedoms, civic space and inclusive development in Asia and issues facing Afghanistan’s human rights defenders.
