This site is produced by Christopher Avery, an international lawyer educated in the USA. He has considerable experience of ethical business research and has worked for Amnesty International. He seeks responses from companies to allegations of misconduct: thus ensuring that coverage is balanced and encouraging companies to address concerns raised by civil society. The website covers over 4000 companies, over 180 countries. Topics include discrimination, environment, poverty, development, labour, access to medicines, health and safety, security, trade.

Employment Appeal Tribunal

The Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) is the senior British court dealing with appeals from decisions of the Employment Tribunals. Its section of the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary website provides information on the purpose, operation and work of the tribunal. It includes practice directions, rules and guidance, as well as EAT decisions from around 1996 onwards.

Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training

The Japan Institute of Labour Policy and Training works under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour. It is engaged in the comprehensive research and study of labour problems.The Institute collects and classifies information and data both domestically and internationally. Another important role of the Japan Institute of Labour is to inform labour, management and the general public in order to deepen understanding and knowledge of labour problems.

The British Safety Council

The British Safety Council is concerned with occupational health and safety, working with companies in the UK and worldwide to develop safe systems of work and providing advice to the Health and Safety Executive. The website has information about the organisation's campaigns and details of its training courses. Recent articles from Safety Management magazine are also available.
