Middle Temple Nano Trainings

Collection of short training videos by Middle Temple Library, a barristers’ library in London, UK. The videos give tips for searching particular law databases, guidance on aspects of legal research and introductions to popular topics such as artificial intelligence. The material is primary designed for members of the library, but others will also benefit.

Cambridge Law Eminent Scholars Archive

This archive, maintained by the Squire Law Library, documents the careers of eminent scholars associated with the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of Law. Records consist of an interview with the respective scholar, available as a video and as audio only, with a transcript. The interview is accompanied by additional material, such as a bibliography of the scholar’s work, photographs and biographical information. The interviews are in chronological order (commencing in 2005), with a name index.

Daniel Barnett

Website of Daniel Barnett, a London based barrister specialising in employment law. The site includes a bulletin providing updates to new legislation and employment law cases and is emailed once or twice a week to anyone signing up for the service. Details of employment law books and Daniel Barnett's training courses are given on the site along with a selection of free videos on English law and employment law podcasts.

Fedflix: free film from US government

FedFlix, available from the Internet Archive, was a collaboration between the US National Technical Information Service and Public.Resource.Org. It provides free access to films from branches of the American government, including public information films and historic film clips and footage from the National Archives, the Department of War, the United States Forest Service, the Federal Civil Defense Administration and other departments. The site, which was archived in 2008, includes information on sources, copyright and technical details. 

Judge David Edward Oral History Project

This online oral history project, by Professor Don Smith of the Sturm College of Law, Denver University, looks at the career of Judge David Edward, a member of the Court of Justice of the European Communities from 1992 to 2004. The project website includes video interviews about his life and work, published papers, pictures and personal memories. There is background information about the project, together with biographical details and speeches. Interview transcripts can be downloaded and articles and papers written by David Edward are available from 1979 onwards.
