Website of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) the regulatory body for the social care workforce in Northern Ireland. The site gives information and news on consultations and projects and on careers, training and registration of social care workers in Northern Ireland. Publications including 'The Code of Practice for Social Care Workers' and the 'Code of Practice for Employers of Social Care Workers' are made freely available on the site.

Scottish Social Services Council

The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) was established in October 2001 by the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001. Its main purpose is to register and regulate the social service workforce in Scotland . The website gives access to consultation documents, information leaflets on social work qualifications and the Codes of Practice for Social Service Workers. There is guidance on making a complaint and decisions of the SSSC can be viewed in PDF. The register of social service workers for Scotland can be searched on the site.

Institute of Applied Research (IAR)

Website of the Institute of Applied Research (IAR) an independent, not-for-profit research and consulting organisation based in St. Louis, Missouri. The Institute conducts research and provides "... technical assistance services to state governments and agencies and other public service and community organizations". Programme areas include child welfare; child care; disabilities; substance abuse; employment and training; welfare reform; youth, women's and minorities' issues; and poverty.
