International Crimes Database (ICD)

ICD is a database of more than 600 international criminal law cases from international, hybrid and municipal courts, from 1946 to the present day. It is accompanied on the website by news, academic articles, working papers and other information. Each case record in the database includes a summary, the procedural history, a link to the judgment, references to commentary, lists of instruments cited, details of related cases and so on.

Piracy trials

This website provides access to a digitised collection of pre-1923 piracy trials held by the Law Library of Congress in the United States. For each publication there is a catalogue record, brief title, the date of the trial and a link to the digital version of the full text book. The dates of the trials range from 1696 to 1904 and include trials that took place in a range of jurisdictions including Scotland, England, the United States and Canada.

The Federation Against Software Theft

Website of the Federation Against Software Theft (FAST), an organisation set up to protect the intellectual property of software publishers through parliamentary lobbying, education and raising awareness amongst users. The site offers a summary of the main points of the law on software licensing and theft, information on the types of piracy, and answers to frequently asked questions. Guidance on how to make a complaint about infringement and a glossary of terms are included. Other features include information on how to join and a page of related web links.

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is involved in combating illicit drugs and international crime. The website describes its work, which encompasses areas such as the reform of criminal justice systems and prisons as well as fighting marine piracy, corruption, human trafficking, terrorism and money laundering. A database of national legislation on drug control, the Legal Library, can be found on the site, together with a collection of model laws and a page of treaties related to drugs, crime and terrorism.
