Principality of Liechtenstein

Portal to official information about the Principality of Liechtenstein. It provides information on the history of the region and the current composition, structure and functions of its government. This includes a listing of all members of the government, descriptions of the work of the Parliament (Diet), and a chronological history and current biographies of the royal family. Some information is also available about foreign relations and the relationship between Liechtenstein and the European Union and other international entities. This site is available in German or English.

Liechtenstein section of WorldLII's World Law Index and Search service. A number of search features are available on the site with links to Other Indexes covering Liechtenstein. European Free Trade Association Court

Official site for the European Free Trade Association Court. The EFTA operates under the Stockholm Convention in the day-to-day management of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) and the coordination and development of trade agreements with third countries. The Court fulfils the judicial function within EFTA and has jurisdiction with regard to EFTA States which are parties to the European Economic Area Agreement (currently Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Norway).

Liechtenstein-Institut

The Institute was founded in 1986 and is engaged in teaching and research. It is private and independent in status. It is situated in Bendern, Liechtenstein. Various social sciences are covered - with research on economics, politics and law. Working papers can be viewed online. NB. All information is in German only.

Staatsgerichtshof Des Fürstentums Liechtenstein

Official Website of the Liechtenstein State Court, which is a constitutional court and final court of appeal. The site has information about the President, Vice president, judges and deputies of the Court. There is background information on the function and history of the State Court and a copy of the Constitutional Court Act 2003. Other information includes a bibliography of selected writings on the Liechtenstein State Court and a page of links to other Liechtenstein Websites. The site can be viewed in German, or in an English version which is not quite the same.

Liechtensteinischen Rechtsanwaltskammer

The Liechtenstein Chamber of Lawyers is the organisation responsible for representing and regulating the legal profession in Liechtenstein. The website gives information on becoming a lawyer in Liechtenstein and includes a full-text copy of the Professional Guidelines of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Lawyers. There is a directory of Liechtenstein lawyers which gives contact details and links to lawyer Websites.

Liechtenstein LILEX

Online collection of full-text laws of Liechtenstein published by the Government Legal Services. The site provides access to both consolidated legislation and the original versions taken from the Liechtenstein Legal Gazette (Landesgesetzblatt, LBGl). Laws are arranged by national legislation and international treaties and subjects can be viewed within these categories. These include private law, criminal law, finance, defence and the economy. Legislation can also be searched by keyword using simple or advanced search options.

This subscription site is managed by GMG Verlag AG and provides a full-text selection of the main Liechtenstein legislation accompanied by an index to all the subject areas covered. The Acts have index numbers which enable the user to see where they fit in to the overall range of legislation. All texts are in German. A search engine enables users to retrieve Acts using key terms and guidelines. Examples are given to assist with search techniques. The site content is current to date and individual Acts include subsequent amendments.
