Association of African Law Library and Information Professionals

The Association of African Law Library and Information Professionals connects African legal information professionals and legal information institutions across Africa. Their aim is to support legal research and promote legal information awareness across the continent by building up a network of individual and institutional members. The website contains information about the association and their aims, membership information and a blog with the latest news about AfLLIP, as well as the latest developments in legal information across Africa.

Organisation of South African Law Libraries

Web pages for the professional association of law libraries and librarians in South Africa. The organisation draws its membership from staff working in law firm, academic and government libraries specialising in law and legal information management. The site provides information about the structure and work of OSALL, including their constitution in PDF, notes on membership procedures and list of committee members with contact details.

Current Awareness for Legal Information Managers

A searchable database containing details of recent books and periodical articles relevant to law librarians and legal information specialists. The database covers material published from December 1994 onwards. It is produced by Katherine Read and Heather Memess at the University of London's Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, for the Current Awareness column of Legal Information Management, the professional journal of the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians.

American Association of Law Libraries

Website of the professional association for US law libraries and legal information specialists. AALL was founded in 1906 "to promote and enhance the value of law libraries to the legal and public communities, to foster the profession of law librarianship, and to provide leadership in the field of legal information." The site provides information about the work of the Association covering policy, publications, products and professional development services. A What's New section, collection of Press Releases and recent announcements are included.

New Zealand Law Librarians Association

The aim of the New Zealand Law Librarians Association (NZLLA) is to promote law librarianship by providing a national and regional focus for information specialists working in the legal sector. It encourages developments that will further improve the usefulness and efficiency of law libraries and fosters a spirit of cooperation among members of the group. The website provides information on the organisation, past and future conferences, special projects and articles written by NZLLA members. Copies of NZLLA's Principles of Professional Conduct can be downloaded from the site.

British and Irish Association of Law Librarians

The British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL) was formed in 1969 to represent the interests of legal information professionals and others involved in law librarianship. The website has background information about the aims and history of the organisation, membership information and details of events, conferences and courses. There is also careers information relating to legal information work and a 'Job Board'.
