JURN is a database providing access to free full text articles, chapters, books and university repositories, covering a wide range of academic subjects including law. JURN was created and is curated and maintained by David Haden, a British teacher with twelve years of experience. The site has a directory of the journals included on JURN and a blog dating back to 2009 when the database started. FAQs provide guidance on searching and information on the resources covered.
DOAJ is a gateway to open-access scholarly journals, covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social science, humanities and law. To be included in the directory a journal must be full text, free of charge and must be peer-reviewed or subject to editorial quality-control. Journals and their articles are classified using a Library of Congress tree structure that can be browsed or searched. Around 800 law journals are included.
Digital repository for UN sale publications, launched in February 2016. The publications can be read for free online, but a subscription is required to download pdf versions. The collection consists of books, studies, reports and other sale publications; for resolutions, meeting records and other official documents, see the UN Official Document System. A wide range of subjects is covered; law titles include the Law of the Sea Bulletin and the Yearbook of the International Law Commission (recent issues only; older issues are available free on other UN websites).
The Lancet publishes a weekly journal and nine monthly specialty journals in the fields of global health, diabetes and endocrinology, oncology, haematology, neurology, psychiatry, respiratory medicine, infectious diseases and HIV. TheLancet.com website publishes important journal content online ahead of print publication. All journal content and summaries can be browsed in their Clinical and Global Health portals and by specialty disciplines. There is open access to some of the articles but by registering for free, a range of selected articles can be viewed.
The Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal was founded in 1982, and is currently published three times each academic year by students of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, under the aegis of the Cardozo Intellectual Property Law Program. Articles are published on entertainment law and related areas including First Amendment law, telecommunications law, sport law, and all areas of intellectual property law. The website includes tables of contents from volume 1 (1982) onwards and full-text access to most articles.
The Archive of European Integration (AEI), maintained by the University of Pittsburgh, is an online repository of documents relating to the development of the European Union. It consists of EU official documents - such as green and white papers, treaties and reports - and independently-published materials such as conference papers, working papers and journal articles. The Archive can be searched by keyword, or browsed by topic, year, or document number.
The World Legal Information Institute (WorldLII) is a collaborative initiative providing free access to legislation, case law, treaties, law reform reports and law journals, for jurisdictions worldwide. WorldLII was developed by the Australasian Legal Information Institute and a number of partner institutions. The service combines access to all materials held in the AustLII, AsianLII, BAILII, CanLII, CommonLII, CyLaw, NZLII, PacLII, SAFLII and HKLII resource systems.
