The Urban Law Center is based at Fordham University School of Law. It focuses on law relating to cities and metropolitan regions. The website has details of news and events and provides publications, including the Center’s Urban Law Bulletin.

HUDOC-ESC

The European Committee of Social Rights (ESC) is a Council of Europe body which monitors compliance with the European Social Charter, a Council of Europe treaty concerning social and economic rights. HUDOC-ESC is a database of its decisions and conclusions, together with related documents such as resolutions and recommendations of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers in matters relating to the Social Charter. Basic and advanced search facilities are provided. The interface and contents of the database are available in English and French.

Homes & Communities Agency

The Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) is a non-departmental public body that regulates social housing in England and develops communities by making available housing and business premises. Its website has details of funding for first time buyers and information about business development incentives. There are sections on regulatory work performed by the HCA, land development opportunities, and sustainability with regards to property. The Documents section includes HCA publications, statistics and information about consultations.

Ministry of Welfare: Legislation

Collection of Icelandic legislation translated into English, on the website of Iceland’s Ministry of Welfare. About fifty acts and numerous regulations are available, in pdf format, with amendments; topics include employment, equality, health, housing, welfare and social security. A disclaimer warns that the translations are provided for information only.

Homeless Link

Directory of research and good practice guidance regarding homelessness in the UK, with abstracts; also gives links to the full text of each publication (if available). Has a search facility, an annotated index of keywords, an index of publishers and a tag cloud. The ‘legislation’ keyword page gives a brief overview of legislation in this area, with links to both legislation and commentary. The site also provides a few news items.

Cyber Avocat

Cyber Avocat is a compilation in French of answers to frequently asked questions about French law. FAQ in French stands for "Foire aux Questions". The site is compiled and maintained by Brigitte Bogucki, a lawyer based in Paris. It does not seek to be exhaustive but to provide general information on French law and legal practice. The most substantial feature of the site is the series of drop-down menus of FAQs on different aspects of French law: the family, courts, housing, employment, and miscellaneous.

Estates Gazette Interactive

This site provides access to the online version of the Estates Gazette on payment of a subscription fee. The Estates Gazette is a leading weekly journal in the field of UK housing and property law. It contains current news, legal updates, case notes and journal articles covering a wide range of issues relating to housing, the property market, planning and housing law. Information on subscription fees can be obtained from the site, and a short-term free trial is also available.

Property Law

The Property Law website is maintained by Gary Webber a barrister specialising in property law. The site is aimed at lawyers, surveyors and others looking for property law information. There are articles and links to articles on other websites dealing with subjects such as business leases, adverse possession, mortgages, conveyancing and possession claims. There is a directory of annotated links to other property law websites, details of property law courses, conferences and books and contact information for mediators who can act in property disputes.

Citizens Advice

Website provides information for the UK general public on law and rights relating to privacy, benefits, housing, employment, debt, consumer protection, immigration and other topics. It is produced by Citizens Advice. Where appropriate, users are clearly directed to additional sources of expert advice, so that they can find further help on questions. The site is in Welsh and English.
