First-tier Tribunal (Care Standards)

Website of the First-tier Tribunal (Care Standards) which was established under the Protection of Children Act 1999. This tribunal considers appeals relating to decisions regarding the suitability of individuals to work with children, the registration of care homes, children's homes and adoption and fostering agencies and the registration of childminders and day care providers. The site provides links to the regulations under which the Tribunal operates and to legislation under which appeals may be brought.

Elder Law Review

Website of the Elder Law Review a free online journal produced by Elder Law at the University of Western Sydney. The journal covers legal issues relating to the elderly with the emphasis on Australian law. There are editorials, news items, comments on current issues in elder law and a selection of articles with abstracts presented in HTML format and the full-text in PDF. The archive currently contains the previous year's issues only. The site also has details of the editorial committee and a page of Web links to other sites dealing with elder law.

National Senior Citizens Law Center

Website of the National Senior Citizens Law Center (NSCLC) an advocacy, litigation and training group based in Washington DC working on behalf of low income elderly and disabled people. The site has background information on key issues and cases the NSCLC is involved with covering the areas of federal rights, Medicaid, long-term care and income security. Each section has articles, news items, cases and case commentaries. NSCLC also publish a range of consumer publications on Medicare and nursing homes, details of which are given on the site.

Senior Law

The Senior Law website is produced by US law firm Goldfarb Abrandt Salzman & Kutzin LLP who specialise in elder law and the rights of the elderly and disabled. The site provides links to legal resources covering elder law, elder abuse and neglect, nursing home law, Medicaid information, Medicare and social security information. There are links to general resources including Federal Courts, federal statutes and regulations, state law links, legal gateways and sites dealing with care of the elderly and geriatrics.
