Technology and Construction Court

This page of the GOV.UK website provides information on the Technology and Construction Court, a group of specialist courts within the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court of Justice, which hears cases relating to building, engineering and surveying issues. There are contact details for all the courts,
guidance on how to take a case to the court including online claim forms and detailed guidance for lawyers on how to bring a complex technical case to the court.

Building Regulations

This part of the UK government website provides guidance on obtaining approval for building work. There is a link to the Building Regulations which promote standards for the construction and energy efficiency of buildings in England and Wales. There is a link to the Planning Portal site which gives guidance to planning rules and building regulations for the most common building work projects for the home including extensions and conservatories.

Society of Construction Law

Internet site for the Society of Construction Law (SCL). The Society was founded in 1983 to promote for the public benefit education, study and research in the field of construction law and related subjects in the UK and internationally. The site provides information about the organisation and work of the Society, supported by an online newsletter, with details of forthcoming events and the full text of articles and papers published by the SCL. Links are given to construction law societies in other parts of the world, construction law courses and other related websites.

Construction Law Review

Construction Law Review is an occasional online review of legal developments of interest to the construction industry based in the USA, edited by the Construction Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton LLP, US attorneys in law. The review offers comment on current issues in the field with close reference to US federal and state legislation and caselaw. Recent issues can be viewed by month of publication or by topic, beginning with September 1995. The site also provides background information about the Group and its work.

This website provides guidance and background information to Australian construction law and has been compiled by construction lawyers at Minter Ellison, a law firm with offices in Australia, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
