Biblioteca Abierta del Proceso de Paz colombiano (BAPP)

Online repository of material relating to the Colombian peace process following the years of conflict with the FARC guerillas. Provided by the Compaz Foundation with Norwegian funding, it includes reports, letters, academic research, speeches, regulatory material, minutes, press releases and other documents, as well as audio, video and photographic content. There is a search facility and the colllection can be filtered by phase of the peace process, topic, author, document type and other criteria.

Jurisprudence database provided by the Office of the General Rapporteur of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz, or ‘JEP’). The JEP is the judicial component of Colombia’s transitional justice system. It deals with the most serious crimes from the period of armed conflict involving the FARC guerillas (1964-2016). The Relati database has simple and advanced search facilities and a browse function. It is accompanied by information pages focusing on the ‘macro-cases’, with timelines, factsheets, decisions and other documents for each one.

From Words to Deeds: Research Project

Research project which focused on armed non-State actors (ANSAs) and their impact on International Humanitarian Law (IHL). The project’s goals included promoting compliance with IHL regulations and understanding ANSA perspectives. The results of the project are provided on its website, including reports, articles, books, and case studies; the site also gives links to other useful resources.

Netherlands Institute of International Relations

The Netherlands Institute of International Relations, sometimes known as Clingendael, is an independent research body which specialises in work relating to conflict, international organisations, the European Union, NATO and the United Nations. Its website provides access to information on its purpose and current research. It includes research reports on all aspects of international conflict and security worldwide and access to the Institute's library catalogue. All information is available in English.

Children and Armed Conflict Unit

The Children and Armed Conflict Unit is a joint project of the Children's Legal Centre and the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex. Its aim is to provide information on the impact of war on children and to analyse existing human rights law in order to provide a better protection of childrens' rights. Its website provides information on the scope of the project, recent news stories relating to on-going conflicts worldwide, and details of the Unit's recent field visits to specific war zones.
