Singapore Law Watch is a free legal news service provided by the Singapore Academy of Law, a membership organisation for the legal profession in Singapore. The site is updated daily covering news and legal developments in Singapore. Links are given to the latest judgements from the Court of Appeal, High Court, Intellectual Property Office of Singapore and the Tax Boards and to legislation published in the last three months.

Contact Tracing and Right to Privacy: A Comparative Law Research in China and Singapore

Online guide to the issues surrounding contact tracing technologies and the right to privacy in China and Singapore written by Alex Zhang who is Archibald C. and Frances Fulk Rufty Research Professor of Law, Associate Dean of Information Services and Director of the J. Michael Goodson Law Library at the Duke University School of Law and Andrea Levan who is a Paralegal Specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice. The article was published in 2022 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

Asian and Pacific Law Guide

A legal research guide for Asia and the Pacific region, created by the library at the University of Sydney. Includes regional legal information as well as covering twenty-five individual jurisdictions. For each jurisdiction, there are annotated links to sources of legislation and cases, information about the legal system, information relating to international law (such as participation in treaties), and links to research guides.  

State Courts of Singapore

Official website of the Singaporean state courts. The site outlines the jurisdiction of each type of court and provides a list of judges and organisational chart. Practice directions, forms and links to full text legislation are also given along with news items and full text copies of the Judicial Times. There is guidance for people attending court and a glossary of commonly used legal terms translated from English to Chinese, Tamil and Malay. Users are directed to Lawnet (a subscription site) for judgements.

Page created by the National University of Singapore law library, providing annotated links to legislation, treaties and cases from Singapore and secondary sources relating to the law of Singapore. In addition the site provides links to research guides and tutorials covering the law of Singapore, created by NUS library staff; and a compilation of glossaries, indexes and legal research tools specific to Singapore law. The page can be accessed in English and is intended for law students and academics.

Parliament of Singapore

The website of the Parliament of Singapore provides minutes of parliamentary proceedings from November 2006 onwards, recent select committee reports, bills from 2002 onwards and other official publications. Background information about the institution is also available.

World Law: Singapore

Section of WorldLII's Countries service covering Singapore. A full range of browse and search features is provided. Browsable link collections include materials relating to the Courts, Government, Law Reform, Lawyers, Legislation and Parliament. Additional sections highlight subject areas such as Alternative Dispute Resolution, Environment and Intellectual Property. A stored search will automatically query all of WorldLII for items about Singapore. The WorldLII service is run by the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII).

Law Society of Singapore

Website for the Law Society of Singapore, the professional organisation serving legal practitioners in Singapore. The site contains information about the Society's history, structure, functions and services and features information aimed at the public covering legal topics such as buying and selling a house, making a will, arrest and bail, Faraid or Muslim inheritance law and the courts system in Singapore. The site also carries a directory of Singapore law firms and practitioners with a search engine. Selected articles from the Singapore Law Gazette can be viewed online.

Supreme Court Singapore

This official website provides judgments for the last three months and information about the work of the Court. Practice Directions and amendments are also provided, together with the Weekly Law Notices, Hearings Lists, news and speeches. Links to other Singapore law websites are also provided.

Intellectual Property Office of Singapore

Official Website of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). The site provides information about the work of IPOS including details of services, events, news items and patent and trademark statistics. Detailed background information on intellectual property in Singapore is given covering patents, trademarks, copyright issues, registered designs and plant varieties protection. There are legislative updates highlighting key legal developments for the years from 1997 onwards.
