Includes regional legal information as well as covering twenty-five individual jurisdictions. For each jurisdiction, there are annotated links to sources of legislation and cases, information about the legal system, information relating to international law (such as participation in treaties), and links to research guides.  

Legal system of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic

Online guide to the legal system of Laos, written by Aristotle T. David who is Managing Partner at ZICOlaw in Lao PDR and Novah Rose S. De Leon-David who is Policy and Institutions Expert at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The guide was published in 2016 (and updated in 2019) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law.

World Law: Lao People's Democratic Republic

There are also subject sections providing links to constitutional, criminal law, environment, human rights and taxation resources. This section of WorldLII was developed from work initiated by the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII).

Asian Patent Attorneys Association

Website of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), an NGO that seeks to promote intellectual property protection in the Asian region (including Australia and New Zealand). The site provides a newsletter and gives details of APAA committees and regional groups, a history of the organisation, and details of conferences and meetings. Parts of the site are restricted to members.
