Official web portal for the Tongan government, maintained by the Tongan ministry of information and communications. As well as providing official links to all Tongan government ministries and departments, the site also provides access to numerous other resources, such as an archive of the state-owned Tongan newspaper The Chronicle, dating back to its inception in the 1960s, official press releases, copies of ministerial speeches, budget statements and business information. Limited search opportunities, but good navigation and browse facilities.

Constitution of Tonga

Full text online version of the 1875 Constitution of Tonga (amended up to 1988) made freely available on PacLII the Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute website. The Constitution is presented in HTML and has sections dealing with rights and freedoms, the form of government and government institutions including the Privy Council, Legislative Assembly, Cabinet and the Judiciary. There is also a section dealing with land and the laws of succession. PacLII is a joint initiative involving the University of the South Pacific and the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

Tongan Legislation

Current revised edition of the Laws of Tonga (primary and secondary), provided by the Attorney General's Office (AGO), together with bills, the official gazette and a collection of acts that are no longer in force, all in both English and Tongan. The website also includes a collection of cases from the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Magistrates Court, Privy Council and other courts and tribunals, accompanied by a consolidated index of Tongan cases.
