Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia: bilateral relations

This section of the Croatian foreign ministry’s website provides a list of the dates that Croatia established diplomatic relations with each foreign state and the dates of diplomatic recognition, together with details of Croatia’s bilateral treaties. The treaty information includes titles, dates of conclusion and entry into force, Official Gazette references and other details, but the text of the instruments is not available. For Bosnia Herzegovina, Italy, Hungary and Slovenia, some multilateral treaties are covered as well as bilaterals.

Croatian Bar Association

Website of the Croatian Bar Association (CBA) the professional organisation representing attorneys practising in Croatia. The site has information about the CBA and the practise of law in Croatia. There is a full-text copy of the Law on the Legal Profession, a copy of the attorneys' code of ethics and the Statute of the Croatian Bar Association which deals with the operation of law firms, the rights and duties of attorneys and disciplinary procedures within the legal profession.

Croatian Parliament

Official Website of the Croatian Parliament. The site provides background, history and information on the role of Parliament in Croatia. There is a profile of the Speaker, details of parliamentary committees and a list of MPs. Key legislation is provided on the site in full-text in HTML and PDF. This includes a copy of the Constitution, legislation governing the Constitutional Court and the Parliament and the law concerning the rights of minorities. The site can be viewed in English or Croatian.

Vrhovni sud Republike Hrvatske

Official website of the Supreme Court of Croatia. The site explains the structure of the court and gives information on judicial power in Croatia. It also has an outline of the court system. Details of public sessions and court statistics are given, along with summaries of articles by justices of the court. There is also a page of links to other Croatian courts. The site can be viewed in English and Croatian

Ustavni Sud Republike Hrvatske

Official website of the Constitutional Court of Croatia which is based in Zagreb. The site provides profiles of the President and the judges of the Constitutional Court and related legal documents including the Croatian Constitution in full-text and the Rules of Procedure of the Court. There is background, historical and organisational information on the Court and its jurisdiction. Full text decisions of the Court can be searched or browsed on the site in Croatian only. The website can be viewed in Croatian and English.

Ured Predsjednika Republike Hrvatske

Official website of the Croatian President. The site has a profile of the President along with a collection of his speeches and news items relating to the President's official activities. There is information on the role of the President as set down in the Croatian Constitution and contact details for the President's advisers.This site is also available in Croatian.

High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia

Official website of the Croatian High Commercial Court (HCCRC), which hears appeals against decisions made by the commercial courts. Provides background information about the work of the HCCRC and gives contact details for the commercial courts. Includes a selection of legislation and codes of ethics. There is also a link to a judgments database. A partial English interface is available, but most of the site is in Croatian only.
