Wisconsin Court System

Official Internet site for the Court System in the US Sate of Wisconsin. The site outlines the history and workings of the state courts and offers access to documents released by the Courts, including Court opinions from the Wisconsin Supreme Court (September 1995 onwards), Wisconsin Court of Appeals (June 1995 onwards), Circuit Courts and Municipal Courts. A search form faciliates specific field searches of the opinions database. There is information on judicial education, forms to download and services aimed at jurors, the public, attorneys and judges.

Wisconsin Lawyer

The Wisconsin Lawyer is the monthly publication of the State Bar of Wisconsin (WisBar), the body representing members of the legal profession practising in the state of Wisconsin in the United States. Most content is free to view online but older articles (pre 2002) are available to subscribers only. Back issues can be searched by date or topic. Feature articles focus on Wisconsin law and legal developments. The site also includes subscription details.

State Bar of Wisconsin

The State Bar of Wisconsin (WisBar) is a mandatory professional association for lawyers practising in the US state of Wisconsin. Its website provides news, court updates, the Wisconsin Lawyer magazine, blogs, podcasts and official notices. A searchable membership directory is provided, as well as information for the public about accessing legal advice. There is information for bar members about practice management, professional ethics and pro bono legal work; members of the bar can also log in to a legal resources platform. The site also makes available research reports and surveys.

LawMoose

LawMoose is a free law site provided by Pritchard Law Webs, a commercial company providing law firms with web services. It covers legal information for the US states of Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as a World Legal Resource Center. The Minnesota and Wisconsin sections include links to state law, courts, government sites, forms, lawyers and to general legal reference resources; the World Legal Resource Center can be browsed by country or searched by keyword and provides links to other resource guides. LawMoose includes a subscription option providing access to additional legal resources.
