The website also provides information on the process of passing a bill, the history of the Senate, members, the constituency and the Secretary General. The website is translated into English as well as being available in Somali.

Federal Parliament of Somalia, House of the People

The website provides the constitution, budgets, international agreements, acts of parliament, rules for parliament members and presidential endorsements for executive orders. These documents are mostly in Somali, but there are English versions of the constitution dating back to 1960. There is also information about the federal parliament of Somalia, the current members of the House of the People and the committees of the House of the People. The site has an English interface.

Research guide to the Somaliland legal system

Article looking at the legal system of Somaliland written by Mohamed Farah Hersi who is an attorney and human rights researcher and a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria. The guide was published in 2009 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School at the New York University School of Law. Somaliland is a breakaway territory established in the north of Somalia in 1991 and is not currently recognised by the international community.
