Statutes and Regulations of Newfoundland and Labrador

A collection of Statutes and Regulations provided and maintained by the Office of the Legislative Counsel, and hosted on the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly website. The site contains a searchable web database of up-to-date consolidated Statutes and Regulations in HTML format. Legislation can be searched by keyword or browsed alphabetically or by department. Annual Statutes are available online for each year back to 1990. A table of public statutes can be browsed alphabetically showingthe parts of statutes that have been amended or repealed.

Law Society Of Newfoundland and Labrador

The Law Society of Newfoundland is the regulatory body for the legal profession in the Canadian province of Newfoundland. The website has contact details of the Benchers (the Law Society's governing body), members of the various committees and the Newfoundland courts. Practice guidance and policy documents are available in a range of formats along with a directory of members. Copies of annual reports and the Law Society's newsletter can be viewed in PDF on the site as well as information on the disciplinary process and a copy of the Code of Professional Conduct.

Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador Decisions

A CanLII database including decisions rendered by the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, Court of Appeal from January 2001 onwards along with a selection of decisions from 1985 onwards. Decisions can be searched or browsed by keyword. CanLII, the Canadian Legal Information Institute, is a key service providing free access to Canadian primary legal materials. The service has been designed by LexUM at the University of Montreal (using software developed by AustLII) on the initiative of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.
